Ruth NgeLaah Ngem Nkweti was born on the 26 January 1989. She comes from Awing in the North-West Region. She attended Primary school at Catholic School Laduma. She attended Secondary PSS Mankon and High school at PSS Bafut. She graduated from the University of Buea with a BSc in Political Science

 

She did her first movie in 2008 called "Risky", with Clear Planet Pictures. It was a short movie and she played the lead role.

 

Ruth has featured in great movies such as Obsession, , where she had her breakthrough produced by Binam Studios and directed by Achille Brice Eteki, Gone, Deceit, On the Brim, Troubled Kingdom, Vendatta, and most recently, "A Little Lie, A Little Kill"

 

She was nominated in the  category of "Best Actress" at the Zulu Africa Film Academy Awards (ZAFAA) in London 2012, nominated for the Cameroon Entertainment Awards CEA 2012 in the category of "Best Actress" in the USA, nominated in the category of "Best Actress" at the DAMA 2012 in Bamenda, and won best Upcoming Actress at CMMA in Buea 2012.

 

In the Cameroon Film Industry, she has a lot of admiration for Yijiki Solange who she describes as the epitome of a working talented Actress. Outside of Cameroon, she looks up to actors like Genevieve Nnaji and Cameron Diaz

 

Apart from acting she is a backup singer for artists and also work with a virtual company Mobile XL in Douala. She is not married and no kids
