Nchifor Valery Awa was born 22nd of October 1983. He comes from Piyin in the North West Region. He attended his primary school at Catholic School St. Anthony. He later on continued his secondary and High school at GBHS Bamenda. He went to the University of Buea where he studied and obtained a BSc in Biology. He made his first appearance in movies in 2005 in the movie "Leather Gangsters" starring Anurin Nwenembom directed by Rene Etta.

 

He has also featured in movies such as "A Woman’s World" produced by Itambi Delphine and directed by Kamwa Anthony, "Obsession" directed and produced by Achille Brice, Enigma directed by Billy Bob, "Whispers" directed by Enah Johnscott produced by Arthur Iyok, "Dark Side" directed and produced by Rich Manga, "Decoded" produced by Gold Age and directed by Enah John Scott, "Switch Roles" produced and directed by L.T Njeik, "U-Turn" produced by Ashu Egbe and directed by Kamwa Anthony, "Dealer" produced and Directed by Andrew Njanjo, "Viri" produced by Nkanya Nkwai and directed by Enah JohnScott, "Villageois" produced by Hermes Fomutang, directed by Alfred Chia and "A Little Lie, A Little Kill" produced by Ivan Name directed Tebo Njei.

 

He has been nominated in the category of Best Upcoming Actor at the ZAFAA 2011 (Zulu African Film Academy Awards) and won the award which took place in London. He has also been nominated in the category Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the CMMA 2012 and won it, Nominated in the category best actor in a lead role at DAMA 2012, he won the award for Best Actor in ZIFF (Zanzibar International Film Festival) 2012, He was at Burkina Faso for FESPACO 2013  to represent the movie Obsession which was into competition and also did a short film “Voyage a Ouaga” with Ivoirians and is expected there in February 2015 for the next edition, Best Actor in a lead role at +237 Elegant Award in Holland 2013 but missed the event due to late arrival of the invitation letter, Best Actor in a lead role at SONNAH Awards 2013, Best Actor in a supporting role CMMA 2013.

 

In the Cameroon Film Industry, he likes working with Epule Jeffery, In Nollywood he looks up to Ramsey Noah, and in HollyWood he looks up to Idris Elba.

 

He is currently based in Buea, single with no kid.
