Adela Elad
Adela Elad was born on 25th of October 1987, she originates from Nkwen in the North West region of Cameroon. She attended her primary school at People’s Progressive Bilingual School in Douala. She later on attended her secondary school at GBHS Santchou in the Western Region and her high school at CCC Mankon in Bamenda. She followed her university studies in the University of Buea and studied Women and Gender Studies. She starred in her first movie in 2011 entitled Hidden Star where she played a supporting role produced by Bessong Viran.
She has also featured in “University Girls” in 2012 where she acted the lead role and this movie is well known to be her breakthrough, produced and directed by Mina Christine. The same year she also featured in “U-Turn” produced Ashu Egbe and directed by Kamwa Anthony. Still in the same year, she did “Sodom and Gomorrah” in Bamenda produced and directed by Nji Manju Derrick, “The African Guest” in 2012 produced by Nkanya Nkwai directed by Enah Johnscott, ”Beleh” produced and Directed by Eka Christa. Later on in 2013, she featured in “Viri” produced by Nkanya Nkwai and directed by Enah Johnscott and Takong Delvis, ”Wrong Combination” produced and directed by Roland Seehofer, ”Village Vultures” produced by Annie Hudson.
She was nominated in two categories at the CMMA 2013; Best Supporting actress and Best Multitask.
In the CFI, she loves working with Roland Seehofer, In Nollywood she looks up to Genevieve Nnanji and Nse Ikpe Etim, In Hollywood, she looks up to Julia Roberts and Letoya Lucket.
She is currently based in Buea, in a relationship with no kid.
