Born in Limbe, Cameroon, Desmond Wyte Akwe is a talented upcoming actor from the North West Region who past most of his childhood in The South West Region. He attended his primary school at PNEU SCHOOL BOTA in Limbe, and also in KOFELLE LUMA. He went to secondary and high schools at PCSS SECONDARY SCHOOLS, GHS AND CAST BAMBILLI. He attended the UNIVERSITY of BUEA where he read environmental science. He got into the film industry in 2008 with his first movie entitled 'TOO HOT TO HANDLE' where he played the lead role, and it was the birth of a Star.. He has dedicated himself go acting and does only that since he left school to make the Cameroon Film Industry progress as he soon hopes to get into business in the nearest future.

 

He has also featured in several movies such as TRIANGLE OF TEARS, DECODED, TINTED ROSES, THE VENDATTA, THREE, DIFFERENT KINDS OF MEN, MY GALLERRY, VIRI, CHASING SHADOWS, IN 19 HOURS, STANDING THE RAIN and just finished a short movie called “I-BEmsi” by Itambi Delphine

 

He has been awarded “Best upcoming actor” at the CMMA in 2012 and also nominated for the category of “Best Male Actor” that same year. Being an associate Producer with GOLD AGE ENTERTAINMENT, he produced some the movies he featured in such as' TRIANGLE OF TEARS, DECODED, MY GALLERRY

 

Some of the people he has loved working with are PROXY BUH, TEH REAGAN, BRENDA ELUNG and The BIG JOHNSCOTT as he called him, not leaving out the good works of AGBOR GILBERT, COLONEL DICKSON, FRES KEYANTY and others whom he appreciates.
