Interview with Fonachi Stephanie

You might have seen her on Giant Broom, Pink Poison, as well as VIRI. She is Fonachi Stephanie and we had the pleasure to meet with her for an exclusive interview, where we got to know certaiin things about her. Very interesting Interview. Enjoy

G-Tv: Hello Fonachi Stephanie and welcome to G-Tv.

Fonachi Stephanie: Hello G-Tv and thanks for having me.

G-Tv: "Yellow Sisi", that's how most G-tv fans call you. Who is the person behind this face? How will you describe Yourself?

Fonachi Stephanie: LOL ,Well Stephanie is a very simple and funny person. Though many people see me and get intimidated. They feel i will be cold. Am just the opposite. I am an extremely hard working person and I am a "go- getter". I am also a very "family person" as my family comes first before anything.

G-Tv: We too at G-Tv got intimidated. So tell us what made you get into movies? Because we know you work in an oil company.

Fonachi Stephanie: I was born to be in front of the Cameras. Its a passion.

G-Tv: So tell us how was it your first time infront of the Camera? Easy I guess since you were born for this.

Fonachi Stephanie: Yes It was easy I didn't really stress. I just loved the attention i was getting.

G-Tv: You know, people got to know you with VIRI, and they can't wait to see that movie. How did you enjoy the role?

Fonachi Stephanie: It was great and it was also very challenging acting in the forest with the rain and and cold. I even fell seriously sick on set and was hospitalized but i left the hospital, came back and finished the movie.

G-Tv: Waaaah soft pikin, probably not used to harsh conditions I suppose?

Fonachi Stephanie: Hahahahaha i be pakoro pekin i beg.

G-Tv: We go know, but the fact you left the sick bay and came back on set shows your determination. I'm sure others were motivated

Fonachi Stephanie: Yes they were.

G-Tv: In Viri, You played the role of Lisa, and we hear she turned to frog. Na true be that?

Fonachi Stephanie: Yes Absolutely

G-Tv: Ok this funny comment we had by a fan. He said "I wonder how she looked like being a frog". Can you answer him?

Fonachi Stephanie: Lisa the frog is very pretty lol

G-Tv: Lately, there was an article up with a picture or you sitting on Desmond Wyte's laps. It went viral instantly. What can you say about that?

Fonachi Stephanie: First Desmond is a good friend and that's it. People just love rumors and blowing things out of proportion and I am not going to play that game with anyone. If I'm relevant enough for people to talk about me then it’s s good. Anyone who knows me well will never believe that crap.

G-Tv: You are relevant mami. That's how being a star feels like. We also notice you love tattoos. Is that correct?

Fonachi Stephanie: Yes I do

G-Tv: You know how some people might feel about a girl with tattoos, but I must admire the positive massages your tattoos carry. Can you explain them?

Fonachi Stephanie: Well we live in a society were people always want to dictate to us what is good or bad when they themselves are not even clean. So i really careless what anybody feels about my tattoos. I have a couple of them and as you say they all carry positive messages and i had them done at very different periods in my life. They all have deep significance to me.

G-Tv: According to you, who is the best male actor in Cameroon? And who is the best female actress?

Fonachi Stephanie: We have lots of great talents in Cameroon . I won't want to hurt anyone's feelings so i won't state any names.

G-Tv: There is this problem with the name of the Cameroon movie industry. Some say CamWood, CallyWood, CollyWood, CFI. Which is most appropriate to you?

Fonachi Stephanie: CFI i will say.

G-Tv: You know, before PinkPoison and ViRi, we would call you an amateur, but since you have played in the yard of elders, what advice can you give to young actors wanting to get into the industry?

Fonachi Stephanie: I will just say they should go into acting for the right reasons. It should be a passion first of all, because when you are passionate about something you give it your all. And also be prepared for the backlashes of fame that comes with it hahahhahahha. "no be small thing oh"

G-Tv: We sabi na? No be small thing at all. Now them talk sey you get private affair with person just because you sit for his laps.

Fonachi Stephanie: Hahahahhahaaha. Na so i hear too.

G-Tv: So what are you working on now? Any thing we should expect from you?

Fonachi Stephanie: I have some projects I'm working on but i will keep that private for now.

G-Tv: How do you find the G-tv concept?

Fonachi Stephanie: I think its a great concept and I really feel proud that Cameroonians now have a platform where they can see the growth of their entertainment industry and were entertainers can showcase their talents .This is an awesome concept!

G-Tv: Last word for this interview?
