Interview with Ade Kelly E. on G-Tv

This week, Our guest was the young and beautiful Ade Kelly Evenye, Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Up Coming actress 2013. We got to know her and of course we touched sensitive places to know her better. Enjoy as you read.

 

G-Tv: Hello Kelly and welcome to the G-tv weekly  interview

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Hi, Thanks; the pleasure is mine.

 

G-Tv: How far Na? Life, school and show biz? How all thing dey happen?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: I'm moving with the tides of time...Life is treating me fairly; I’m putting in my best in school. The entertainment world is gradually giving me the platform to showcase my innate talent...I just di put trust in God.

 

G-Tv: E go better oh, so tell us, who Ade Kelly is off the scene and at the back of the Camera. How will you describe yourself?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: I'm me, myself and I...well, offset I’m a reserved person, a little shy, love moments with family, mostly indoors, value friendship, always smiling ,hate confrontations n I’m also assistive.

 

G-Tv: What made you get into movies? What pushed you to acting?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Acting has always been a passion, I believed that through it, I will be able to connect with the world; I will be able to understand and share people’s experiences and also be a role model to others trying to fulfill their dreams.

 

G-Tv: So how was your first day on set? Did you stress since you are shy? Or enjoyed it since you are passionate?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Well well well... the irony about it all is that, in front of the cameras, I’m bold, it’s a different me...before acting I did runway modeling, so I was already used to the cameras...I was relaxed n enjoyed it.

G-Tv: And you were Sonia, the materialistic babe dating a rich guy in the movie "The Prodigal Son", was the role easy? Or challenging?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: For a first time it wasn’t that challenging, I understood the character and brought her out.

 

G-Tv: You know what people say, practice makes perfect, so when someone chooses a role or plays it well, they say "I sure sey for true life, ei dey so" Do you agree?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Hahahahahahaha....Not necessarily, I didn’t interpret the role well because it’s a reflection of me but rather because I believe in the saying 'Act every movie like it was your last'

 

G-Tv: No be so? Ok, you were best actress in a supporting role at Sonnah Awards, how did you feel?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: I was elated, had an air of fulfillment because my hard work had been crown with success...I'm happy for Sonnah to have made a platform for talents to be recognized.

 

G-Tv: I guess Whispers was the movie that contributed because of its numerous nominations, is that correct?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Absolutely...Whispers is like my breakthrough...I won two awards for my role in that movie...Best upcoming actress at CMMA2 and best actress in a supporting role at Sonnah Awards ...God is good and I won’t relent my efforts.

 

G-Tv: We have been seeing the Trailer of "My Gallery" where you featured with John Dumelo, How did you feel to be on set with him? Knowing you were one of his fans some years back?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: I was very happy to act alongside John Dumelo because I had always watched him on screen and never knew we will one day be on the same set...I'm still a fan and it was such an opportunity interacting with him...It was easier because he is simple and friendly.

G-Tv: And you were his girlfriend in the movie, una kiss?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Hihihihi...we no do mouth to mouth contact oh.

 

G-Tv: Better, make yi woman no come find you for here.

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: No fear nothing they happen.

 

G-Tv: So what should we be expecting from you? Any projects to be released or still working on?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Not working on any now...A little lie A little kill will be premiered in April...As an actress, I will keep it professional and work harder because one day I will be recognized internationally...

 

G-Tv: You might be young, but experienced actresses, what pieces of advice can you give the younger ones wanting to do movies?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: Wow...I had once been like you, always know you have something different to offer, don’t strive to be someone else but rather have a role model, someone who inspires you, and always believe in your dreams n crown it all with prayers to God for guidance and protection.

G-Tv: How do you find the G-Tv concept? What can you say about our platform?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: It’s a good platform to showcase our home talents n give them that recognition they disserve ...it’s quite encouraging.

 

G-Tv: Last words for this interview?

 

Ade Kelly Evenye: I wanna give special Thanks to my manager Enah Johnscott, my mentors Anurin and Tebo Njei last but not the least Arthur Iyok for believing in me from day one.
