Interview with Arthur Iyok on G-Tv

Today, We met with Arthur Iyok, Serious upcoming actor and producer for an exclusive interview on G-Tv. Have fun reading.

G-TV: Welcome to G-tv Arthur Iyok.

Arthur Iyok; Thanks

G-Tv; How far na? Show biz and personal life? How is everything going?

Arthur Iyok; With regards to show biz I would say it’s on point especially when I am being interviewed at G-tv. Personal life I would say I am at peace

G-Tv; So tell us, who is the real person behind the fine face? Who is really Arthur Iyok? Who is he off the scenes?

Arthur Iyok; Arthur is just a regular yet modest guy, I am a principled and outgoing person, use to be an alone guy until some few years back. Lol. Hahaha don't get it wrong alone is being to myself not necessarily being alone

G-Tv: I guess you are no more to yourself now?

Arthur Iyok: You know show biz has its way of changing people. I need to interact with both fans and colleagues. Besides being an entertainer you need to be pretty much a people's person. Keeping to yourself might just limit you to a lot of possibilities.

G-Tv: What pushed you to do acting?

Arthur Iyok: Passion has always been my push but not withstanding the first time I saw myself on screen I was like "Arthur why don't you work on art now, because you not looking bad in there" Lol

G-Tv: How was your first role like? How was the feeling?

Arthur Iyok: It was no easy task; I was excited in the first instance, and then when we entered the second day of shoot, that was when I knew it was work and not all fun. What you see as final product of any movie be it 1 or 90 minutes, it’s a lot of sleepless nights and painful efforts put down by filmmakers, I planned to quit after my first movie but like I will tell you again, filmmaking is an addiction. Not looking forward in even trading it totally.

G-Tv: How many major roles have you had so far in movies you featured in?

Arthur Iyok: 5. That is in The Company, Blind Instinct, Whispers, A little lie, a little kill, Losers game

G-Tv: Lately we put up a picture for fans to vote for their favorite actors and you were on the list beside Epule Jeff and Desmond Wyte, and from what we saw, you are the ladies man as they all fell for your swag. What can you say about that?

Arthur Iyok: Hahaha this is an interesting one G-TV. Man, I will say I am just me. Nice and open to people. I guess everyone would have his or her reason for liking my person. I try as much as possible to inspire people both in what I do and in life itself.

G-Tv: What is the name of the Cameroon movie industry? CollyWood, Callywood? Camwood? KamWood, CFI? Which is the right one?

Arthur Iyok: CFI is the name. I could say a lot of people use Collywood as a brand name. But the name on all official documents is CFI

G-Tv: Whispers seem to do so well and was at The Ecran Noir Festival, 5 Nominations at Sonnah and 3 at Cammovies merit. Impeccable one we must say.

Arthur Iyok: I should say that was an eye opener for a lot of Cameroonian viewers.

G-Tv: What do you think about the Sonnah Awards? Do you think the Cameroon Film Industry needed that kind of event to blow?

Arthur Iyok: Sure not just one but more of events like that. Filmmakers always get their motivation from events like that. For example there also the Cammovies merit awards too, which acknowledge good work

G-Tv: What are your ongoing projects?

Arthur Iyok: Right now I am working on marketing of the movie Whispers and on the release of a little lie a little kill, produced by Ivan Namme and directed by Tebo Njie

G-Tv: The G-tv fans are hoping to get it on our site. Is that promised?

Arthur Iyok: Why not, we do this for the fans if they want it at G-tv then who are we to say no?

G-Tv: What piece of advice can you give to new actors?

Arthur Iyok: Whenever you make up your mind to get into this biz, trust me, get in for the right reasons not the wrong ones, especially when you want to succeed in it. Trust Me!

G-Tv: Last word for the interview? What should we expect?

Arthur Iyok: I will tell you all that the Cameroon film industry is putting up an international standard. Expect to see a lot of our movies out there in the international festivals and awards, giving the idea that we have evolved in our output not only in quantity but quality. Thumbs up to movies like Ninah's Dowry by Victor Viyouh., Beleh' by Eka Christie and Obsession by Achille Brice who have graced international audience and festivals and have represented our industry out there. Watch out for movie like A Little Lie a Little Kill , My Gallery, Far, Cobweb, and Viri which I bet u will blow your mind. Believe in our products and I promise u great achievements.

G-Tv: Thanks for according us this interview and we hope to meet you soon again.

Arthur Iyok: It was a pleasure Gtv, its not every day an artist receives such a call from your network. Thanks for promoting this industry. We sure need more networks like this to make things work. Thumbs up
